Mrs. Amber Rogers M.A. PPS

I am Amber Rogers. I am a school counselor for K-8 grade students at Keyes Union School District. I was born in Modesto, California.  I grew up in Ceres, California, where I was the oldest of three children. I am proud to say I attended school at Caswell Elementary, Mae Hensley Junior High, and Ceres High School. These schools gave me a wonderful foundation and paved the way for my academic and career success.  I attended Modesto Junior College after high school and then transferred to California State University, Chico where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Health Studies. I started working at Keyes Union School district in 2014 and absolutely fell in love with the schools and the community here.

In order to reach my goals for myself and my two children, I knew I would need to further my education. In 2015 I enrolled back into college. In 2018, I received a Master’s Degree and Pupil Personnel Services credential from California State University, Stanislaus. I completed my internship at Keyes Union School District and I was thrilled that I was able to stay in this community when I received a full time counseling position.

I am honored to work alongside the dedicated administration, teachers, and support staff in this district. My vision for the counseling program is student-centered and solution focused. My mission is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program based on the standards of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model. I achieve this by supporting every student in their academic, social/emotional and career goals. The comprehensive counseling program includes whole school activities and programs, classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling for students.

Please contact me with any questions. I am looking forward to another great year at Keyes Union School District!
